Not Your Gramma's Pearl Necklace
Sold out
Inherited jewelry more often than not sits in the back of a jewelry box, deeply loved, however collects dust and remains unworn because the new owner finds it irrelevant to their lifestyle or tastes. One of Alice & Chains favorite design projects is re-purposing a vintage piece for a client to pridefully wear, telling the history and new story to admirers.
At our first consultation she brought not just her grandmother's pearl necklace, but also the matching pearl earrings and some fantastically preserved Sterling Silver initials. A single strand of pearls, clip-on earrings, and brooch initials that were not her own - my client was the honored owner of prized jewelry she could not imagine herself wearing.
Using the pearls and brooches along with some Hematite, Druzy, and Agate beads we created a meaningful, one-of-a-kind multi-strand necklace that can easily be worn to dress up the every day t-shirt & jeans, or accompany her for a fancier night out.
Having supplied the pearls and initials, the client paid $175 for this one-of-a-kind necklace.

Tahitian Pearl Collection
Sold out
A set of earrings and pendant designed for a client with a collection of Tahitian Pearls.Â
This blooming pendant was designed and made for a mother, a gardener that is always tending to not just her plants, but her family as well.Â
The client came to Alice & Chains Jewelry wanting a matching necklace and pair of earrings. This piece was inspired by the idea of a blooming flower. Studying the photography of Irving Penn and flower samples from the client's garden this piece was hand-carved and produced using the lost-wax process.

Moonstone Diamond Ring
Sold out
This was designed for a client who received one of our gift certificates for her birthday. She wanted a longer, non-typical shaped moonstone - so we went on the hunt for one. However, when we found this stone we were told it had a twin and that they were intended to be earrings - so in rare fashion we bought both. At Alice & Chains Jewelry we rarely get the opportunity to make two of the same, because most of our stones are custom cut and designs are made to fit each client, making molds only in one size. The intended client was ecstatic and the twin was immediately sold. Both rings sold for $2,200 each.Visit product page → -

Initial Necklace
Sold out
Initial necklace was designed not using just the initials of a mother's children, but also using the number three and the idea of a clock to represent the times each of her three children were born. Creating a full circle of diamonds around the combined three discs. The client provided the nine diamonds. -
Repurposing gifted or inherited pieces for clients. This client in particular had been given a pair of elegant diamond earrings that she found thoughtful and delightful, but not to her everyday style. Alice & Chains repurposed the diamonds into stackable eternity bands, alternating the diamonds with aquamarine and sapphire, her children’s birthstones. Now, she has options. She can wear her stackable eternity bands alone together, with her entire wedding set, or with the other diamond bands in her wedding set for a more trendsetting look. Children are often a theme throughout our client’s jewelry choices, whether through birthstones, numbers, initials, or the number of pieces made. For this client, having two rings made allows each of her children to some day inherit a ring of their own from their mother.
